First Eucharist

  • First Holy Communion – Saturday June 27, 2020 – Two masses:
St. Rose of Lima School Students at 10 am and CCD students at 12 noon.

Dear Families:
We will be celebrating First Holy Communion on Saturday, June 27rd @ 10am for the SRL students and at 12 noon for the CCD students.  Since we are doing our best to maintain a safe environment, we strongly encourage everyone to bring as few guests possible with the maximum number of four immediate family members.  All guests, including students, must wear a mask in the church. Anyone who is sick is asked to remain home, as should vulnerable and at-risk family members.

Please see below for all required Archdiocesan guidelines and related notes.

  • Each family will be assigned to a pew in alphabetical order. Each student will be seated at the end of the pew towards the center aisle.
  • Students should report directly to their pew with their families by 9:50 am. Once you have RSVP, no later than June 19, a copy of our seating chart and the directional flow chart for Communion will be emailed to you.
  • Students are asked to dress in their Communion outfits and masks. Please no gloves for the girls.
  • The mass will be live streamed via E-catholic, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Due to social distancing recommendations, pew spaces will be limited to 25%-30% of our capacity. Six feet of social distancing in all directions has to be always maintained.
  • Every other pew will be blocked off and only family members living at the same address may sit together.
  • Only the doors on the east side of the church will be open for entry and exit (by kiosk and parish office).
  • Hand Sanitizers will be available at the entrance doors. You are welcome to bring your own sanitizer.
  • Please refrain from gathering with other families and students at all times.
  • Face masks/facial coverings will be required for everyone attending. They are to be worn at all times except when receiving Holy Communion.
  • Standing in the aisles and other areas of the church is prohibited.
  • Programs will be provided in every family pew.
  • There will be NO hand holding at any time during mass. (Lord’s Prayer and sign of peace)
  • There will be no procession with the gifts at the offertory.
  • There will be tape markings on the floor to guide you to keep social distancing when you are in line for Communion.
  • We recommend everyone to receive Communion in the hand. Please note that if you are wearing gloves, these must be removed before the reception of Communion.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to celebrating with your family,

Annie Molleda
