The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, from Immaculata, Pennsylvania administer the school.
Mission Statement
St. Rose of Lima Catholic School provides a nurturing and spiritual environment for its culturally diverse community. Rich in faith-based tradition, we offer our students strong spiritual and academic programs that will prepare and challenge them to give witness to Christian values throughout their lives.
Philosophy
St. Rose of Lima School proclaims the Gospel message and translates this proclamation into action. The school community incorporates the Gospel message in all aspects of the educational program. The belief and values of the Catholic faith are taught and developed in religion class but lived and experienced throughout the school. In all areas of the curriculum the educational programs emphasize the growth of the whole child-spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. The teachers strive to give witness to Christ, the Master Teacher, and proclaim His message. This witness extends further through the practiced expression of the truths and values within the lives of the members of the faith community.
St. Rose of Lima Catholic School strives to make community not simply a concept to be taught, but a reality to be lived. The school seeks to build a faith community fostered by a deep understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist - the bond of community and the cause of its growth.
Parent Involvement
The participation of parents is crucial to the educational success of a child. St. Rose of Lima has a variety of options for parent involvement, including through the Home and School Association, volunteer activities, and online tools through Edline.
The Home and School Association has a mission to serve the school administration, teachers and parents in enriching St. Rose of Lima students. Parents are invited to attend the group's montly meetings to help ensure they are contributing to their child's success.
Edline is a valuable online tool for parents to interact with teachers and school administrators.
